We recently had an opportunity to join friends at the Bernhardt Winery. Wow, what a lovely place to spend time, enjoy a very nice glass of wine or beer with friends. This was our first visit to the winery and it was such a delight. We were at one of the weekend concerts. The music was great and the venue was very comfortable.
We enjoyed a wonderful Antiquity Aristocrat, Naturally Sparkling Wine, Extra Brut while listening to great Disco Music. What fun!

Today we’ve successfully added a new brand to the DJ’s Confections company. For many years the company has been focused on producing world class pastry art products such as carved chocolate, blown sugar, and sugar flowers. I was a pastry chef for many years competing in numerous culinary competitions including the international Culinary Olympics in Frankfurt Germany. It was a wonderful experience seeing how chef’s from around the world design and display their “food art”. I was fortunate to win 2 Gold metals for my pastry art and display. It was because of this experience that I began looking at how food was displayed. This lead me to use a variety of interesting materials for my displays. Trays and mirrors for pastry displays just didn’t cut it anymore. I used marble, wood, and beautiful glass.
I truly believe presentation is the key to making our food more appetizing and interesting.
